I can't believe I am seeing this much snow in sunny St. George. I have to say we are loving it!!
Last night we told the kids we would make a snow man when Hunter gets home from school as long as the snow didn't melt..
Hunter was excited to hear that school had been cancelled,
and we were too!!
It's kind of fun when your daily routine gets altered.
This morning the boys were up and ready to start the snow man.
How did we do?

P.S. We are only bringing this pack...Continued
So, I guess I can never follow the rules..
Even though the note said we are only bringing this pack I still had another little suitcase to bring along. I had a few surprises for him under my sleeve and there was no way I was going to fit them all in that little backpack.
When he pulled up in the driveway with the Harley, I finally caught on why we could only bring that bag.
Somehow I managed to pull it off..
We ended up riding up to Zion's for an overnight stay at the Red Rock Inn..
..Suite #5, highly recommended.
We had a such a good time.
Thanks Babe!
I love You..

Trick-or-Treat
At our house the MONSTERS have officially gone to sleep until next year.
The kids are sad, but now excited for Christmas.
We did a lot of fun things this year for Halloween. Let me tell you a few.
April had a party at her beautiful new house. The food was great and the costumes even better. Thanks Martha, your a great host.
I took the kids to the corn maze for the first time. Between the petting zoo, train rides, candy apples and the maze, they were very entertained.
Everytime I turned around I was dressing the kids up for some party.
What can I say...
It was a great HALLOWEEN!

There he GOES......
Two years ago for Hunters 4th Birthday we bought him a motorcycle. That night he had a great time riding it around the neighborhood, but since then it hasn't been touched.
A couple of weeks ago Hunter asked if he could ride his motorcycle.
I'm suprised we could even find it with all the dust and dirt that has settled on top of it the last 2 1/2 years, but we DID!
When we pulled it out we noticed a flat and of course didn't have a pump to fix it. "Isn't that the way it goes". We ended up going up stairs and forgetting about it.
Well, tonight Jason decided to take them to Wal Mart to get a pump so we could fix it.
He fixed the flat and Hunter jumped on.
He rode up and down the street taking it very slow.
Only giving it a couple tries, he was done and ready to go inside.
We told him to keep trying and that it will get easier.
As he got more comfortable, he decided to go around the block..
...still taking it very slowly.
When he came around the corner we boosted his confidence by cheering him on.
Now,
Hunter had to show off.
Making his time around the block faster and faster each time saying I'll go again.
At one point I thought he was going to crash into the neighbors garage..
..sure enough he pulled it off..
Good Job Hunter!!!
Never give up!
Hopefully his motorcycle will get a little more use from now on....

OFF TO PRESCHOOL...
Well, today was Kian's first day of preschool.. I can't believe I'm sending another one off.. Before I know it I'm not going to have any more at home..
..That makes me sad!!!
He couldn't wait to be able to put his Batman "packcak" (backpack) to use. For the past week he has been asking me when he gets to go to preschool. I would tell him 5 more days, 4 more days, 3 more days, and then when it got to 2 more days he said "Ok, two more sleeps."
Kian, I hope you Have Fun and meet lots of new friends. I love You!!
Oh, and
...Remember to protect Ava...

WE NEEDED THIS
When I'm at home I have the hardest time spending quality time with my husband and kids. The laundry, dishes, work and everything else consumes most of my day and then I feel bad that I didn't sit down and spend time with them.
This weekend I didn't have to feel bad.
We decided to go to the Antimony Cabin for Labor Day weekend and I went with full intentions to make the best of every day...
...and I did!
Friday night we slept in a tent on the lawn..
Saturday morning Jason took Hunter and Kian fishing and I took Hudson with my dad, mom, Nick and Diane to Fish Lake. We rented a boat and rode around. It is so Beautiful there. My dad shared memories that he had of my Grandpa Bob at this lake and we made our own that I can share with my kids someday.
When we got back to the cabin we had lunch and spent the afternoon chasing the kids around and visiting out on the lawn.
Ryan and Megan showed up Saturday night just in time for Dinner..
Sunday was full of memories that I will cherish forever.
Cooking breakfast with my Dad
Going down the zip line with the kids
Kian so excited about the frog he caught
A long fourwheeler ride to Mt. Dutton stopping for pictures and tree carvings.
...and many more..

1st Grader
Today was Hunter's first day of school. He has been waiting for weeks for this day to come. Yesterday around noon he told me that when we get home he was going to jump in bed and go to sleep. That's how excited he was.
This morning started off a little different than the past 2 months. I'm usually dragging Hunter out of bed around 9:00. Not Today.
Hunter was up bright and early. He ran so fast into the tub as if a LION was chasing him. He was all ready before 8:00. I'm so excited for him. I've never seen him so HAPPY!!!
I realized today to cherish every moment with your kids. It seems like just yesterday I was holding him in my arms. Wow, time flies!!!!

WHEN YOUR KIDS ARE QUIET....
DO YOU EVER GET SCARED OF WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO FIND WHEN YOUR 3 YEAR OLD HAS BEEN QUIET FOR MORE THAN 10 MINUTES?
SOMETIMES I'M AFRAID TO SEE WHAT DAMAGE HAS BEEN DONE..
WHAT IS HE THINKING AS HE'S DRAWING WITH A PERMANENT BLUE SHARPIE ALL OVER HIS FACE NOT TO MENTION ON 2 BIG BATHROOM MIRRORS?
-EITHER HE IS TRYING TO SAVE US MONEY BY NOT WASTING PAPER
-HE SEES HIS GIRL COUSINS PUTTING ON MAKE UP AND THINKS A SHARPIE WILL DO
-WANTED TO LOOK LIKE A SCARY MONSTER
-OR, JUST WANTED TO MAKE A MESS
I'M NOT SURE WHAT THE MOTIVE WAS TODAY....
KIAN.... I STILL LOVE YA!!!!

Is it more work than its worth
Whether or not to attend the Family Reunion? That was the BIG question... Getting ready for a trip is always a lot of work, especially when your on your own.
-Catching up on the laundry so you have clean clothes to wear
-Making sure the house is clean
-Packing for 4
-and a 2 and a 1/2 hour drive with the kids and no DVD player
Sounded like more work than its worth....
Even though it seemed like a lot of work I went anyway and Im so glad I did. The kids and I had a BLAST! Games for the kids, movies under the stars, visiting with family, and great food
.. that's what made this trip FUN!!!
Grandpa Bob would be proud.....

What should I make for Dinner?
Do any of you Mom's find asking yourself, "What should I make for Dinner?" Well, I Do and then I just end up making up a batch of Spaghetti. Not that its bad, but it would be nice to change it up a bit. If you have any great easy recipes feel free to share, my Husband would greatly appreciate it!

Lake Powell Trip July 2008
For the past three years we have spent our fourth of July at Lake Powell on the Ol' My Darlin soon to be named Who's Your Daddy. (I think that name fits our family a little better.) You know you need a name change when little teenagers are singing the song "Ol' My Darlin" and laughing when you pass by. Its worth it though.
The trip didn't start off too well. We were following Ryan and Megan going 78 in a 55 Construction Zone and got pulled over. We thought that the cop would just give us a warning, but NO his slapped us both with a $232.00 ticket.
The rest of the trip went great, just as planned. Until Tuesday night when Ryan went into the Marina to get the Hickman Family and practically sunk the boat. Not his Fault! I guess when the waves started towering over and filling the boat people decided it was time to JUMP. So in the water they went. They had to find the closest island and sit their until he could come back for them. They said it could have been a scene from Gilligan's Island. I wish I could have seen it!
This was Hudson's first year out to the Lake. He loved it. He spent a lot of time hanging out with his cousin Colt in the baby pool with their Bumbo's. We call them Bumbo Buddies.
